53 feet in the Air!

Heres a few shots of Dave and I with the lift fully extended on Market St.

For the record, the highest I've been on a building was around 70-80 ft. This one reaches 53 feet high.

This is the Elwyn Mural that I mentioned in my last post.
Here's a design, and a shot of it superimposed on the building. It turns the corner and spans both walls.

There is a lot to talk about concerning this project, its imagery and symbolism, and the people who inspired, and helped work on it. I worked with a lot of people and organizations to make this wall happen, but thats a story for later.  The mural, when you get right down to it, is about overcoming the stigma of mental illness.

ericokdeh.com/news + Blogger = Ultimate win!

Ive updated the News portion of my site. Its now a blogger page which should make it incredibly easy to update and post regularly. In the past I had been doing it all through the source code of the page which was ridiculous, and partially the reason for my lack of updates.
Also check the link at the bottom of the side bar to subscribe to my updates, they will be interesting, I swear.

The other reasons include the two projects I've been working on. One of which, the as of yet untitled Greenfield Project, took over a year and a half to complete. Its finally done and I will be updating the main page with photos and info soon. It incorporates a large scale buildout 17 feet in height which rises a foot and a half from the surface of the mural in a pyramid fashion, and covered in stained glass.

The second Mural is a collaboration with Behavioral Health and six of the organizations they fund. The mural is going up at 41st and Market St. in West Philadelphia, and will be my largest work to date at 3600 square feet, 600 of which will be done in stained glass. My estimated completion date is end of July/ beginning of August. Look for a installation video soon!
